Well fitted and flattering to the dachshund’s long body, this is a fantastically versatile jacket that will protect your doxie from the elements on those mixed weather days. It has a subtile plaid pattern, a recycled polartec fleece lining, a black corduroy bias trim and a built in d-ring. This waxed cotton canvas fabric is made in the USA and is extremely durable, tear resistant and just looks better with age.

The production of paraffin wax generates very low level chemical toxins. Waxed canvas is a strong, hard-wearing material which is resistant to tearing. Properly maintained it will give a lifetime of use.

Waxed cotton canvas fabrics requires minimal care and have been successfully used for many years and centuries without washing. It is rugged and made for active outdoor use. A few things to take notice of though when cleaning: TRY water first with a slight brushing or scrubbing. A periodic cleaning with a damp cloth or soft scrub brush for heavy dirt is all that is needed. USE a little bar soap or flaked soap only if necessary, on specific areas only. NEVER use detergent, liquid or powdered. NEVER dry clean as the powerful environmentally damaging chlorinated solvents will remove the finish.
