The harness is cut low in the front so the pulling is across the shoulders and not the neck which prevent pressure on your dachshund’s trachea or windpipe. This is a step-in harness with an adjustable strap around the girth only. You can adjust the whole fit of the harness though; the tighter you adjust the girth strap, the tighter it becomes around the front chest area as well. It’s extra secured with a side release buckle and heavy duty velcro.
