100% Raw Amber

Amber is a fossilized tree resin. It contains aromatic chemicals called terpenes, which when worn, the body heat and the friction from the beads against your pups fur causes the amber to release a resinous aroma that repels ticks and fleas. In nature tree sap works exactly the same – when a tree bleeds, it bleeds a sticky sap to protect itself from insects and fungus. For the best effect, the collar should be worn all the time, 24/7. However, if your dog is running through heavy brush etc. or playing rough with other dogs, it is better to take it off for a while. The amber can also break from time to time, as amber is not a stone but an organic fossil.

How long a necklace lasts depends on how active your dog is. For maximum effectiveness, change the amber necklace once or twice per year or when the beads get polished. Potent raw amber is milky in color and craggy; polished amber has lost much of its “effectiveness”.

Amber necklaces are a great alternative but not a treatment. It will prevent your dog from possible tick threats, but will not cure your dog in case of problems caused by parasites. Our amber necklaces do not replace a visit or treatment at the veterinarian office and we can not guarantee the effect.
